Amor Bench

Artist: Michael Holton - Calgary Alberta

Artists Statement: I enjoy the process of melding the disparate materials of wood and stone together. It is both a challenge and a joy to have the design and technical elements work in harmony. For this bench I refined my technique to clamp the stone with the wood as I have done this process before. I also wanted to try a curved top on the bench and a paired down design that resembles a broken surfboard.
