Ribbons of Copper

Artists Statement: The inspiration for this vessel came after seeing a carved back on an antique chair. The pattern morphed into a ribbon pattern as I began to draw on the round vessel. The orginal intent was always to carve the pattern in relief and then to texture the surface and to use pyrography to highlight the background.
