Artists Statement: The Jatoba wood came from flooring that was to be torn up and thrown out as part of a kitchen renovation I was working on. Once the nails, staples, tongue and groove and finish were removed, the challenge was how to use a large pile of wood that is thin and narrow. This table is one of the results.
