One Ring Circus

Artists Statement: A vertical striped vase. The inspiration for this vase was an outgrowth of the annual SAWS 2X4 contest to maximize the size of the vessel and minimize loss of wood from a single block of wood. A single “ring” of laminated, curved staves forms the shape of the vase, creating the long flowing lines.
