Dan Amantea has a full time job by day and is a very prolific woodworker in the evenings and weekends.  Check out his Facebook page at Amantea Woodwork!  You may recognize him from Shop Tours last spring.  He has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to share how he started experimenting with CNC a few years ago.

There will be a brief overview of his equipment and his explorations to date. Next, Dan will explain and demonstrate how to program a simple project with the software, and then cut it out. 

CNC combines mechanical, technical and woodworking skills, together with the usual ‘trouble shooting’ involved when you make things. It opens another world of creative avenues for woodworking.
