Christmas Special
Once again, the December meeting will celebrate the holidays by continuing our traditions.
Members’ spouses, partners or family members are invited to join us. It has been enjoyable over the years to meet the supporters behind our SAWS members. There will be plentiful food and drink. (Be sure to RSVP so Paul can order the right amount of food.)
This year our very own master craftsman, Tom Gorman, will tell us a story about how he made a special piece of furniture.
Tom’s woodworking wisdom and sense of art will both inspire and entertain us.
And what would Christmas be without gifts! You are invited to bring to the meeting something from home. It could be an object you have made, a surplus tool from your shop, or maybe even a re-gift that is Christmassy or crafty. Wrap it up but don’t put your name on it. When you arrive at the meeting, you put your gift under the tree. You will then be given a ticket. Later in the evening we will call out the tickets and you can pick a gift from under the tree. Surprise!
And if you can’t come up with a gift, don’t worry about it. Your name won’t get called but it will still be fun to have you there.
RSVP by December 8 to Paul Fitzpatrick as to how many will be coming from your house. Contact Paul by email or by phone.
