Protecting Your Eyes In the Workshop

SAWS member Gordon Carter will be the October 2024 presenter. Gordon is an Ophthalmic Medical Technologist at Rockyview General Hospital (RGH) and a tissue specialist with Give Life Alberta (organ and tissue donation).

Gordon has 20 years experience at RGH, where he dealt with many people having eye injuries — from very minor to life changing.

During the meeting he will discuss ocular safety in the shop, focusing on common eye injuries including prevention, avoidance, and how to react to an eye injury.
