Vacuum Bags and Veneer
Although not experts in this area, Louis Girard, Paul Dean, and Tam Godfrey will facilitate a discussion of the various aspects of vacuum bagging veneers to a solid substrate. This is in direct response to a request for information in this area from SAWS members.
They will cover the basics of bagging systems, bags, glues, and applications and share some of their experiences, thoughts, and reasons for using their systems They are also interested in other member’s experiences or expertise on this topic, either in the form of discussion at the meeting or as follows:
MEMBER PARTICIPATION: They welcome one or two photographs per member with short captions of bagging set-ups and/or completed pieces that required either internal or external forms, with shapes varying from simple to complex.
NOTE: This is not a “Show and Tell” format meeting. Given time constraints, any photographs and captions submitted will be presented by one of the three presenters, with credit given to the maker.
Submit photographs and captions to Louis Girard before March 16, 2025.
