December Social - Narrow-Boating in Wales
Tam Godfrey will present a slideshow and talk about the 10 days in early October that he and Wendy spent narrow-boating on the Llangollen Canal in Wales. The canal system in Britain predates the invention of railways and modern narrow-boats are like long RVs, that you live on while you travel the canals. The section they travelled has two locks, two tunnels, two aqueducts and is perched on the side of the valley above the River Dee.
The scenery, the people and the relaxed canal lifestyle will be the emphasis of the presentation.
